Month of Love with Esther’s heart

Still Bay has decided that we would use the rainbow as our theme to celebrate – Colour your Life. Each monthly meeting has a colour that will be used.

Our first meeting of the year celebrated the Month of love using the colour red, being the colour of love.

The significance of red is associated with strong emotions, such as love, desire and anger. Red is also regarded as a head-turner due to its warm and bright hues.

A heart shape was displayed and discussed. God has given us a heart to love and care for one another, over and above us needing our hearts to live.

The heart that was displayed, was made with the story of Esther from the Bible in mind. The heart has 5 different sections, each signifying something different.

  1. First red section with markings, signifies Branches in your heart, where your love for the Lord begins which one uses to love and care for others.
  2. White section- it is all our responsibility to get our hearts cleansed so that it pure and ready to love and honor the Lord.
  3. You will notice that the second section of red has growing branches with leaves. Here the branches from section 1 starting growing leaves, this means that our hearts are starting to grow in the Lord.
  4. This section has flowers. If one consistently waters a plant it grows and blesses us with flowers. This signifies that, if we continue to learn more about the Lord, our faith grows and we are preparing to share love with others.
  5. Last section – give lots of water and your plant is in full bloom.Little round circles represents drops of water watering the plant. The drops represents your heart being feed with lots of love.

At this point The Lord has filled your heart with lots of love to share with others. Go out into your community. share your love with your family, friends, neighbours, acquaintances and animals.
