Touch a life. Mend a heart.

Cindy Nortje from Life Community Services visited the branch and gave an inspirational talk on the motto that they live by, ‘Touch a life and mend a heart.’

LIFE Community Services is a Christian NGO working to confront the dilemmas and crises facing impoverished children in South Africa today. They work primarily in the Garden Route city of George. George is an area that has a high TB death rate, an AIDS crisis, a high per capita alcohol abuse problem, and an escalating divorce rate. Through implementing community focused programmes, LIFE began to tackle these social concerns successfully.

LIFE was registered as a Non-Profit Organization in March 2001 and in 2008 as a Public Benefit Organization.

They are committed to leaving a lasting imprint on a child’s life. One that changes how they see themselves and the world around them and the lives of their own children one day.

Their mission is to see the heart of the community changed through the Gospel, treating all people with LOVE, DIGNITY, AND RESPECT.

Their vision is to establish and provide integrated community-based services that strengthen disadvantaged families, create job opportunities, and help individuals to fulfil their God-given potential.

The theme for the day was a trip to France, beautifully conceptualized and displayed through decor and food, by Denise and her team.
