Klein-Brakrivier Vlv-Tak En Die ‘Nerds’

Wat die ouer garde aanbetref, moes Johan bontstaan want die dames het hom gepeper met vrae. Hy moes onder meer al die meestal onbekende benamings verduidelik, soos Android (A typical Android cell phone is a smartphone with a touch screen interface, multiple connectivity options, Internet browsing capabilities, support for video playback and a camera);

 I-phone (A line of smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc.);

Cloud (The “cloud” is a metaphor for the Internet. As a virtual space that connects users from all over the globe, the Internet is like a cloud, sharing information by way of satellite networks)

Kilobytes (The prefix kilo means 1000; therefore, one kilobyte is 1000 bytes. The unit symbol is kB.);

Megabytes (1 MB = 1000000 bytes, the unit symbol is MB);

Gigabytes (1000 megabytes is equal to one gigabyte, the unit symbol is GB)

Terabytes (One terabyte is one trillion bytes. The unit symbol is TB)

Petabytes (1000 TB = 1 petabyte, the unit symbol is PB)

CPI (Central processing Unit carries out the instructions of a computer program);

Motherboard (Holds, and allows, communication between many of the crucial electronic components of a system, such as the central processing unit (CPU) and memory, and provides connectors for other peripherals);

Hard drive (is an electro-mechanical data storage device that uses magnetic storage to store and retrieve digital information using one or more rigid rapidly rotating disks (platters) coated with magnetic material);

Memory (In computing, memory refers to the computer hardware integrated circuits that store information for immediate use in a computer);

RAM (Random-access memory  is a form of computer memory that can be read and changed in any order, typically used to store working data and machine code).
